CLAUDINA CAÑAS BARBEITO, I MEIGA MAYOR VETERANA

In the afternoon of today, in the facilities of the Residence of Elder Caser de La Zapateira, I was proclaimed I Meiga Mayor Veterana, Claudina Cañas Barbeito, resident in said Center.

The event was attended by the Meiga Mayor, Ana Souto; The President of the Association of Meigas de los Hogueras de San Juan, Mª Concepción Astray and a representation of Meigas de Honor, Meigas de Honor Infantiles and Board of Directors of the Association, as well as the board of directors of the Residence.

After reading the act of appointment, the President of the Association of Meigas imposed the Banda accrediting, after which the Gentleman gave him a bouquet of flowers and a gift.

Then the party, with sardine and bonfire included, continued animated by the Trio Remanso throughout the afternoon participating in her as much the residents as their families.

In this way another age segment is incorporated into the relationship of Meigas Mayores.
