DEEP SORROW FOR THE DEATH OF NONITO PEREIRA

With much sadness we have known that our good friend and collaborator of the Bonfire Promotion Commission of San Juan, Nonito Pereira, Silver Thistle of the Bonfires, has passed away.

Nonito was part of the living history of our city. Good man, affable, imaginative and enterprising, we always have his support over the years and his old Beach Club was, for years, the house of the Bonfires of San Juan.

Since today, with its departure, Nonito has become a reference point, not only for an era, but also for a city like La Coruña that will always miss it.

Go from here our signs of affection for your family and a prayer to Lord St. John so that God our Lord may intercede before his soul may rest in peace.
