GOODBYE TO THE F.L.O.

The Official Defense Gazette of last 29th, inserts the new organization of the Army for which the Operational Logistics Force disappears until now, with its Headquarters in our city, being replaced by the new Maneuver Support Command, which will continue to be based at the Palace of the Captaincy General in A Coruña, even though this implies an important change in its organic level, as well as in its dependence.

It must be remembered that the Operational Logistics Force (FLO) was created in 2002, with its first Chief General being Lt. Gen. Juan Yagüe and the last, the unforgettable and “Cardo de Oro “de las Hogueras de San Juan, Major General Francisco Javier Sánchez Fernández, who distinguished the Association of Meigas with the title of” Furriel de Honor “from the aforementioned Logistics Force.

Likewise, the Commission for the Promotion of the Bonfires of San Juan, distinguished the Operational Logistics Force with the title of “Gold Thistle” in the collective category.

These lines serve to bid farewell to the Operational Logistics Force that has been with us for eighteen years and to greet the new Maneuver Support Command whose Headquarters opens its doors in our city.
