THE MEIGAS IN THE HEARING ACTS OF GENERAL SANCHEZ FERNANDEZ

The Association of Meigas was represented, both yesterday and today, in the farewell acts, as head of the Operational Logistics Force, of the General of Division and Golden Thistle of the Commission Promoter of the Bonfires of San Juan, Francisco Javier Sánchez Fernández, and his wife Mª Sonsoles Carramolino Montero, Honorary Senior Meiga of the Association of Meigas and Cardo de Plata of the Promoter Commission.

Yesterday, the President of the Association, Mª Concepción Astray, attended the dinner that, in honor of the Sánchez Carramolino marriage, was held at the Palace of Captaincy General and in the morning Today, the 50th Major Meiga, Emma Cabezas, and the President of the Association of Meigas attended the military farewell ceremony held at the Atocha quartering.

Both the San Juan Bonfires Promotion Commission and the San Juan Bonfires Meigas Association have maintained, during the seven years that both the General and his wife, They lived in our city, close ties of friendship beyond the mere institutional relationship.
