Mª CONCEPCION ASTRAY, PARTNER OF HONOR OF THE NORTHWEST MILITARY HISTORY AND CULTURE ASSOCIATION

Last night, the halls of the Royal Equestrian Sports Society were the scene in which the traditional Christmas dinner of the Northwest Military History and Culture Association was held, chaired by our good friend, the prolific Ricardo Pardo Gato, during which it was imposed on the President of the Association of Meigas, Mª de la Concepción Astray, the badge that accredits her as a Partner of Honor of the Entity, the highest distinction she grants.

The badge was imposed by Ricardo Pardo Gato, before a large group of diners, among which were different authorities and representations.

In her words of thanks, the President of the Association of Meigas, highlighted the work done by the Association of Military History and Culture of which she said “I have become part of this moment”. At another time during his speech, he said: “And if any recognition we can receive is important to us, this is even more so in the light of what happened in recent years, when, intentionally and without any reason for it, they tried to get us out of the way, which caused some, incomprehensibly, to turn their backs on us, perhaps for fear of possible reprisals. ”

For its part, Pardo Gato, highlighted the work done by both the Association of Meigas and the Promoter Commission in the resurgence of the night of San Juan Coruña.
