MAGNIFICENT CONCERT OF THE VIOLONCHELIST MIRIAM MILLAN FONTAIÑA AND OF THE PIANIST DAMIAN HERNANDEZ

With a notable influx of audiences, it was held, yesterday afternoon, in the Culture Room of the Sporting Club Casino, in concert offered by cellist Miriam Millán Fontaíña and pianist Damián Hernández, who offered a wide and varied repertoire of works by Britten, Lutoslawski, Haydin and Bohuslav Martinu, who were much applauded by the attendees.

The magnificent performances, as soloist or accompanied by the piano, by the young cellist Miriam Millán, won great applause among the public present at the concert.

The concert, integrated in the “Notes and Bonfires” Cycle of the HOGUERAS-2019, which takes place in collaboration with the Higher Conservatory of Music, offered, on yesterday afternoon, a set of very select and very difficult works that Miriam Millán knew how to solve with professionalism and solvency.

At the conclusion, the President of the Association of Meigas, Mª Concepción Astray, gave the concertists a memory of her time in the Cycle.
