SAD NEWS

Today, we have received the sad news of the death of the great friend of the San Juan Bonfire Promotion Commission, José Antonio Quiroga y Piñeyro, a pro-Coruña man who, for many years, he actively collaborated with our Commission.

José Antonio Quiroga, chaired the Jury of the San Juan Awards on several occasions, was the crier of the XXXV Poetic Coven Party of the HOGUERAS-2005 and in 2009 he received the Golden Thistle of the Bonfires of San Juan, the highest distinction awarded by the Commission.

We pray to God our Lord that, in his infinite mercy, grant his soul eternal rest, while we offer a prayer to Lord Saint John, our Patron.
