A DREAM COME TRUE

Verónica Pérez Ordax, Meiga Mayor 1997 and President of the Commission of the 50th Anniversary of the Meiga Mayor, was in charge, this afternoon, in the Cultural Room of the Sporting Club Casino, to raise the curtain of the cycle of conferences that, within ” Páginas Coruñesas “of the HOGUERAS-2019, will offer different Senior and Honor Megas, from different years, in which they will speak about the exercise of their professions in which they work with great effort and dedication.

Verónica Pérez, an economist by profession, owns the company “Mayve”, dedicated to the formation of models, hostesses of congresses and organization of events and that was, precisely, the theme addressed, in a simple and brilliant way, in her speech tonight, before a large audience that rewarded her with their applause.

In his speech, he remembered with great affection and longing, those HOGUERAS-97 of which was Meiga Mayor, an experience that was unforgettable, taking the opportunity to invite the young girls of Coruña to not miss the opportunity to be one day Meigas, maintaining this forms the beautiful tradition of the night of San Juan de La Coruña.

Among other things she said “that Meiga is once, but it is forever” and “I wish that one day, my daughter would be one too.

An entertaining and pleasant talk by a young businesswoman who works, every day, to keep alive her project for which she never received any help.

In the end, the President of the Association of Meigas, Mª Concepción Astray, gave the lecturer a reminder of her time in the “Páginas Coruñesas” Cycle.

The event was attended by the Delegate for Defense in Galicia, Antonio Bernal, as well as the former Mayor José Manuel Liaño, among other representations.
