THE MEIGAS ASSOCIATION PAYS TO THE TOWN HALL OF THE TIDE 2.106,84 EUROS IN CONCEPT OF PAYMENTS OF RATES FOR THE USE OF THE MUNICIPAL THEATER ROSALIA CASTRO

The Association of Meigas of the Bonfires of San Juan yesterday transferred to the municipal coffers the not insignificant amount of 2.106,84 euros as advance payment of the fees for the use of the Municipal Rosalía Castro theater, in order to celebrate in this framework , Owned by the people of La Coruña, the XIV Dance Contest of A Noite da Queima, which will take place next Monday, the 24th.

In this Contest, which is free of charge, a total of twelve Dance and Ballet Schools will be participating, most of them based in our city, which form in the dance art more than 2,000 Coruñeses that come to their classrooms to form in this Art, children of Coruña who religiously pay their taxes to maintain, among other things, the Municipal Theater.

The treatment that the Tidal City gives to the Association of Meigas is exactly the same as an Entity, for profit, who wishes to hold an event in Rosalia. The rates are the same, nor takes into account the fact of the gratuitousness of the act, much less the social purpose that it pursues by allowing young Coruñesas, who act in a totally disinterested way, to show in a dignified stage as is the municipal theater their Skills in the world of dance.

We would like to know if the propagandistic acts of the tide, celebrated so far in this Theater of all the Coruñeses, also were subject to the same canon, even others organized by movements related to this group.
