THE MEIGAS IN THE FUNCTION OF THE VOTE

A representation of the Meigas 2019, led by the XXXVI Meiga Mayor Infantil, Ainhoa ​​Souto, accompanied by the Megas de Honor Eva González and Alba Rodríguez, and the Children’s Honor Megas , Inés and Irene Taranilla, attended, together with the President of the Megas Association of the Bonfires of San Juan, to the traditional Voting Function, which was held, at noon today, in the convent of Santo Domingo, before the image of Our Lady of the Rosary, Patroness of the city.

One more year, the sectarians and revanchistas of the tide, in their eagerness to eliminate everything that represents a memory of our history, refused to attend this act that constitutes a of the most inveterate traditions of La Coruña and that has been celebrated since 1589.

If in October it was with the premature and malicious removal of the floral carpet in the plaza of Santo Domingo, now its manifest lack of feeling of city and its detachment to La Coruña and its history have become evident again with this absence.

We hope that La Coruña has learned and that next May 26 these individuals will disappear from our City Council.
