THE MEIGAS OF HOGUERAS-20, WILL PRESENT THE OFFERING TO THE VIRGIN OF ROSARIO AND ASSIST THE STARTING OF THE SAN JUAN FIRE

Today, Tuesday the 23rd, despite the limitations imposed by the health crisis we are experiencing, the Meigas 2020, will celebrate the day before St. John attending at 12:30 p.m. , to the convent church of Santo Domingo, to present their traditional offering to the image of Our Lady of the Rosary, Patroness of La Coruña.

The offering will be presented by the LI Meiga Mayor, Candela Mosquera, and by the XXXVII Meiga Mayor Infantil, Inés Taranilla, accompanied by their respective Meigas de Honor and Meigas de Honor Infantiles.

Later, they will go to the military church of San Andrés, where their pastor, Carlos López Jadraque, will light the candle that symbolizes the Fire of San Juan, before the image of the Saint, symbolizing thus the rite of burning the Bonfire, which, like the rest of the acts of the HOGUERAS-20 program, is suspended.

With these acts, the 2020 Meigas will celebrate what should have been the big day at BONFIRE-20 .
