THE OFFER TO SAN JUAN CLOSED THE BONFIRES-2019
On the afternoon of yesterday, August 29, with the commemoration of the Martyrdom of Saint John the Baptist, the Association of Meigas of the Bonfires of San Juan de La Coruña, closed officially the program of events of the HOGUERAS-2019, starting the new exercise that will continue over the next 2020 years.

The acts began in the church of the Third Order where, at 7:00 p.m., a Mass was held in which Carmen Mª No Varela, Meiga de Honor de the HOGUERAS-1995 and Vice President of the Association of Meigas, presented the offering before the image of the Saint, which was followed by the Meigas major and children, as well as the President herself of the Association you want presented their floral offering at the feet of the Saint.
Subsequently, in the Multipurpose Hall of the Military Historical Museum, an institutional event was held where the Association of Meigas of the Bonfires of San Juan, on behalf of the Promoter Commission, imposed the Distinctive meigas medals, in different categories, to Meigas Mayores, Meigas Mayores Infantiles and Meigas de Honor of previous editions, as well as the medals of the new directors, as well as a souvenir to the artist José Manuel Esteban Guijarro, author of the poster of the < strong> HOGUERAS of the last two editions.
In the turn of interventions, the Meiga Mayor Infantil-2019, Ainhoa Souto, and the President of the Association of Meigas, Mª Concepción Astray, spoke. Both the participants, as well as the bidder, voted for the HOGUERAS-2020 Association to recover the prominence of previous years.
