FAREWELL OF THE CAPTAIN OF NAVIO RAMON FERNANDEZ BORRA

Early today, at the El Corte Inglés Restaurant, the farewell meal was held for the Captain of the Navy General Corps, Ramón Fernández Borra, Naval Commander from La Coruña.

The event, organized by the Association of Meigas de las Hogueras de San Juan, was attended by numerous guests, including, in addition to the Board of Directors of the Association and of the 50 Meiga Mayor, Emma Cabezas, the Chief General of the XV Civil Guard Zone, the Delegate of Defense in Galicia, the Colonel Commander of the Northern Tercio of the Marine Infantry, the Colonel Director of the Military History Museum of La Coruña, the Councilors of the Popular Group in the City Council Rosa Gallego and Roberto Coira, as well as friends and collaborators.

To the desserts, the President of the Association of Meigas, Mª Concepción Astray, had words of gratitude for the Captain Fernández Borra, to whom she pointed out that in La Coruña she was leaving a group of friends who felt his departure, wishing him every success in his new destination. The President’s words were answered with others of thanks from Captain Fernández Borra.

As a culmination, the President presented him with an image of San Juan.
