SAD NEWS

Today, we have received, with sadness, the news of the death of Sisa Vázquez Estévez, one of the sisters who ran, for years, the famous tavern “La Traída”, located in the Torreiro alley, one of the establishments where you could breathe Coruña as soon as you crossed the lintel of your door. There, in that unforgettable venue, there was no place for those who spoke ill of La Coruña or Deportivo.

In 2000, the San Juan Awards Jury awarded the sisters Sisa and Mª Carmen Vázquez Estévez, the annual “Marineda” award for Coruñesismo, the award was received from the hands of the XXXI Meiga Mayor, Lorena Fernández Márquez, during the XXX Festival of the Poetic Coven, held on May 25, 2000, at the Rosalía Castro Theater.

We raise a prayer to God our Lord, on this feast of the Resurrection, so that through the intercession of her Risen Son, the soul of Sisa Vázquez may rest forever in peace. < / p>
