WITH THE COMMEMORATION OF THE MARTYRDAY OF SAN JUAN THE HOGUERAS-2021 CONCLUDE

Today Sunday, August 29, commemorating the Martyrdom of Saint John the Baptist, the Association of Meigas de las Hogueras de San Juan de La Coruña will begin a new exercise of activities that will It will last until the end of next June, having as its central axis the acts of the Noite da Queima, on the magical night of San Juan.

The events scheduled for today, the 29th, will take place in the Church of the Third Order where, at 8:00 p.m., a Mass will be celebrated in which María Gende Piñuelo , Meiga de Honor of the HOGUERAS-2015 , will present the offering before the image of the Saint and then the older and children’s Meigas, as well as the President of the Association herself, will make a floral offering.

Later, in the same framework, an institutional act will be held where the Association of Meigas de las Hogueras de San Juan will impose the distinctive Medals of Meigas, in different categories, on Meigas de Honor of previous editions and to the Directors of this year.
