THE HOGUERAS-2016 HAVE COMPLETED

With the solemn act of Homage to the National Flag, celebrated yesterday afternoon in the Plaza de la Constitución, the HOGUERAS-2016 have concluded brilliantly. During the forty-eight days a total of 61 acts of cultural and popular character were developed, all of them gratuitous, being unable to carry out the rest of those foreseen by the absolute lack of collaboration and support and by the prohibitions and restrictions imposed by the Tidal City Council that, from the beginning, tried to boycott the program of acts usurping a protagonism that did not correspond to it.

Despite everything, and despite the tide, the program was developed with brilliance exclusively with the support and funding of the Xunta de Galicia, whom we thank for their valuable collaboration and in a very special way to its President, Alberto Núñez Feijoó, who, in past dates, alluded to the work of the Meigas Association.

The HOGUERAS-2016 have concluded and want or do not want those of the tide, with them and better without them, there will be HOGUERAS-2017.
