THE PRESIDENT OF THE MEIGAS ASSOCIATION CLOSED THE ACT

The President of the Meigas Association, Mª Concepción Astray Gómez, was in charge of pronouncing the closing words of the Ceremony. In his speech he emphasized the important role played first by the Promoter Commission and later by the Association of Meigas to rescue for the city the traditions of the night of San Juan and to place the CORUÑEZ HOGUERAS in the elite of the celebrations of Spain.

He also said that this Ceremony, which has been held in the Municipal Palace since 2010, had to be transferred this year to the Sporting Club Casino before the repeated refusal of the Mayor to organize and chair this event.

After thanking the Authorities and guests for their attendance at the Ceremony and conveying the warmest congratulations to the Meigas, he concluded by wishing everyone a happy San Juan 2016.
