THE PROCESSION OF CARMEN

One more year, like every July 16, the Virgin of Carmen, the Star of the Seas. Of so much devotion in Corunna, went out to cross the streets way of our port where it embarked to bless the waters and the people of the sea.

It is a Marian invocation that, along with those of the Immaculate, Patroness of Spain; The Pillar, Patroness of Hispanidad and the Rosary, patron of the city, enjoys a veneration very ingrained among the Spaniards, perhaps for that reason they do not like to those of the tide who do not see with good eyes the traditions and many less those That smell to Spain. For this reason, the municipal government, in a new gesture of sectarianism to which we are already very accustomed or even allowed the Municipal Band, which we paid all coruña, to attend this endearing act and popular.
