TODAY, THE CEREMONY OF PROCLAMATION AND IMPOSITION OF BANDS TO THE FIFTY-FIFTH MEIGA AND TO THE MEIGAS OF THE HOUSEHOLDS-2019 IS CELEBRATED

Today, Saturday the 30th, at 8:00 pm, the Auditorium of the Eusebio da Guarda Institute (Plza. Pontevedra, s / n) will be the stage where the Proclamation Ceremony and imposition of Bands will take place at 50 Meiga Mayor and the Elderly and children’s megas of the HOGUERAS-2019, the year of 50 Meigas in history.

Different Authorities and representations of the city, including two former Mayors, will impose their accrediting Bands at 50 Meiga Mayor, Emma Cabezas Alvarez; to the XXXVI Meiga Mayor Infantil, Ainhoa Souto Arístegui, as well as to the Meigas de Honor and Meigas de Honor Infantiles 2019.

Along with the 50 Meiga Mayor, Emma Cabezas Alvarez, will be proclaimed Megaritas de Honor the young Coruñesas Eva González Fernández, Mónica Gómez López, Ana Mañas Hernández, Mª Light Pose Reinoso, Mª Sol Pose Reinoso, Mónica Quintiana Millán, Alba Rodríguez Santos and Alexandra Tomás Fernández.

For its part, the Children’s Meiga Mayor, Ainhoa Souto Arístegui, will be accompanied by their Children’s Honor Medals, the girls from Corunna Victoria Batson Arciniegas, Lucía Brun López, Beatriz Fraga Graiño, Sara Cabezas Sánchez, Nereida Carrera Díaz, Damaris Kasandra Queneche López, Inés Vázquez Vázquez and Irene Vázquez Váquez.

In the first part of the Ceremony, the Metal Group of the Conservatory of Music will perform.

With this ceremony the curtain rises of a new exercise of HOGUERAS that will be developed between the months of May and next June.
