04/03/16 Last day Madrid died in Madrid the Lieutenant General of the Army, Maximo de Miguel Page, who was General Head of the Northwest Military Region, based in our city, in the 90's of last century . The Lieutenant General of Miguel Page was a member of the HOGUERAS Honor Committee and he owes the traditional Tribute to the Flag that, since 1994, solemnly closes the HOGUERAS program. It was he who approved the project and who presided those first Tributes to the National Teaching in the place of the Constitution. The San Juan Hogueras Promoting Commission awarded him with the Silver Cardo, the highest distinction that, at that time, the Entity granted. May God our Lord grant eternal rest.
