THE IMAGE OF SAN JUAN I WALK THE STREETS OF LA CORUÑA

At eight o’clock in the afternoon, from the church of the Third Order, the procession of San Juan began, which opened the Band of horns and drums of the Bitterness of Ferrol, after which the guiding Cross and the ciriales were present. She was followed by Heralds and Heraldillos, who gave way to the Meigas de Honor Infantiles, Meigas de Honor, Meigas Mayores of other editions and the Meiga Mayor-2017, escorted by the Clasps.

The image of San Juan, on andas, was carried by Cofrades of the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Soledad and the Holy Burial; Behind the religious presidency and after her the Board of Directors of the Association of Meigas, with its headlining head. The entourage was closed by the Band of Music of Caamaño that was the one in charge to pay the honors to the image of the Saint both to its exit as to its entrance in the temple, interpreting the National Anthem.

The procession, which was witnessed by numerous Coruñeses, toured the streets of San Francisco, Santo Domingo, Príncipe, Constitución, Santiago, Puerta Real, Montoto, Fame, Riego de Agua, Luchana, Marina, Montoto, Prince, Santo Domingo, Tinajas, Place of Carlos I and temple.

Neither in this year the procession could accede to the place of Maria Pita by express prohibition of the municipal government of the tide.
