TRIBUTE TO GENERAL JAVIER ABAJO MERINO

Tonight, the Association of Meigas de los Hogueras de San Juan paid a simple and affectionate tribute to the Division General of the Army, Javier Abajo Merino, Chief of the Logistics Force. Operative on the occasion of his departure from the city in the near future.

General Abajo, Silver Thistle of the HOGUERAS and member of his Honor Committee, was accompanied by his wife, Toñi Medina.

In addition to the full Board of Directors of the Association, the Meiga Mayor 2016, Belén Ferreiro, and other friends and sympathizers attended the dinner, which was served at the "Pé Franco" Restaurant.

To the desserts, the President of the Association, Mª Concepción Astray, delivered to the General Below a figure of San Juan Bautista, Patron of the Entity.

General Abajo, for his part, thanked, with heartfelt words, the affection and friendship that the Association of Meigas gave him, both him and his wife, during his stay in La Coruña.
