The Meigas of San Juan Coruñés, those whom they want to insult by calling them "cheesy" and "women vase", are, in fact, young people who know how to be, who know how to dress, who know how to be, educated, correct, elegant. Young people who leave aside studies and jobs to attend where they are invited, representing a tradition, a project.

They are not stupid puppeteers nor do they have a pose of "progress" without being. They are always impeccable young people who represent the best of youth, regardless of who weighs.

In the photo, the Meiga Mayor Infantil-2016, Alba Rodríguez; The Meigas de Honor-2016, Ana Souto and María Gende, and the Board Member of the Association of Meigas, Vanessa Grobas, proudly wear the unique Regional Costume of Galicia and the elegant Spanish Mantilla.

I wish many would try to imitate them, although that would, in a good number of cases, be impossible.

Let no one take away the elegance, much less the illusion.
