THE BALUARTE DE LA CORAZA AND THE CHURCH OF SAN ANDRÉS WILL HOST TODAY THE EVENTS OF THE HOGUERAS 2021 PROGRAM THIS WEEK. THE NEW POSTER OF THE BONFIRE-21
Today, June 2, there will be events such as the Act in Remembrance that will take place one more year, (except last year that could not perform) in the Baluarte de la Curaza del Orzán (7:00 p.m.). where they will make an offering of flowers in front of the monument that remembers the members of the National Police Corps and other coruñeses killed in the waters of our city, with this it is intended to pay a tribute of heartfelt memory to all deceased fellow citizens who will not be able to live next night of San Juan.
In the San Andrés Military Church at 8:00 p.m., the venue will host a commemorative mass in honor of Saint John and that will be offered by the soul of all the dead coruñeses.
We present the General Poster of the HOGUERAS-21 and that will be the cover of the publication HOGUERAS-21, which will be on the street from the 15th, in which the figure of the immortal A Coruña writer, Emilia Pardo Bazán, acquires a special meaning as the centenary of her death is commemorated.
The work is original by the magnificent cartoonist José Manuel Esteban and it shows a Meiga de las Hogueras de San Juan during the traditional floral offering at the foot of the monument of the writer.
