  • The “Música en la calle” Cycle returns to the Hogueras program with five concerts that will take place in the Parrote dock over the next few days. < / li>
     

  • The 3rd Meiga Mayor Veterana will be announced on Wednesday the 20th at the Sanitas residence.
     

  • The woman from A Coruña will be honored on Saturday 22 with events that will take place in different parts of the city.
     

  • The Captaincy Palace, the Sanitas residence, the Hotel Finisterre and the Parrote dock will host events.

    The next six days of the program Hogueras 2019 will bring back the cycle “Music on the street” with performances in the dock of the Parrote. Highlights the events that will take place on Thursday 20 and Saturday 22, the first for the proclamation of the III Meiga Mayor Veterana, and the second to carry out the traditional tribute to the woman from A Coruña with events that will remember historical female figures such as Emilia Pardo Bazán, María Pita, Juana de Vega, Teresa Herrera and Concepción Arenal.

    The week will begin with the “Luminaries of Classicism” cycle, within which the performance of the Piu Bella Camerata will take place, which will take place at 20: 30 hours at the Captaincy Palace on Monday 17 .

    On Tuesday, June 18, the Hogueras program takes up the Cycle “Music on the street” , and does so with the concert of the Music Unit of the Third North Marine Infantry, to be held at the dock of Parrote at 7:00 p.m. This Cycle will continue on the following day, Wednesday 19 June , with the Padrón Music Band, which will perform various pieces starting at 8:00 p.m., also in the dock b> del Parrote.

    On Thursday, June 20 the activities will begin at 5:00 p.m. with the proclamation of the 3rd Veteran Meiga Mayor and the performance of the Cuarentuna of La Coruña in the Sanitas residence. The Cycle “Music on the street” will close the day at the dock of Parrote at 8:00 p.m. with the concert of the Music Unit of the Force Headquarters Operative Logistics of the Army.

    On Friday 21 , at 7:30 p.m. at la darsen a del Parrote, the Cycle “Music on the calle “ will continue with the Xuvenil de Barro Band. The day will close with the XLVI Festa da Danza das Meigas in the Victoria room of the Hotel Finisterre at 22:00 hours.

    The woman from A Coruña will also be the protagonist this week with various acts of homage throughout the Saturday 22nd June . These will begin at 11:00 am with the distribution of flowers to the women of La Coruña . The events of the afternoon will commemorate the figures of Emilia Pardo Bazán, Juana de Vega, Teresa Herrera and Concepción Arenal at 6:30 p.m. in the gardens of Méndez Núñez, the heroine will also be honored María Pita . The finale of the day will be put by the Ateneo Musical de Pobra Music Band, which will perform in the Parrote dock at 8:00 p.m., activity framed within the Cycle “Music on the street” “.
