LETTER OF ADHESION BY FRANCISCO VAZQUEZ VAZQUEZ

We echo the letter of adhesion, signed by the unforgettable Mayor of La Coruña, Francisco Vázquez Vázquez, forwarded in past dates to the Association of Meigas; In his letter Francisco Vázquez says:

"As the feast of San Juan is approaching, I follow with great concern the adverse vicissitudes that you are suffering because of the null collaboration that the City Council gives you, with an attitude that I would describe as a premeditated boycott of your activities.

Through these lines I wish to express my support and my solidarity, sentiments shared by a great majority of Corunna grateful for the international blaze, which you so selflessly achieved, with the work of many years, for the San Juan Coruñés.

As Mayor who I was for twenty-three years, I can give a very direct testimony of your tireless work and of the upward trajectory that you achieved, serving the interests of the city.

I trust that common sense will be imposed and your contribution will be recognized and valued.

With all my affection and recognition as a citizen. "
