THE MEIGA MAYOR, PRESIDED THE OFFERING TO THE DECEASED CORUÑESES

At seven o’clock yesterday afternoon, the Meiga Mayor of the HOGUERAS-21 , Candela Mosquera, accompanied by her Meigas de Honor and the Meigas de Honor Infantiles, presided over the traditional act of tribute to the deceased Coruñeses, held in the bastion of the Coraza del Orzán.

This event was attended by the Territorial Delegate of the Xunta de Galicia, Gonzalo Trenor; the Provincial Commissioner for Citizen Security, Miguel Ferrero, and the popular councilors Roberto Coira, Nazareth Cendán and Antonio Deus, as well as the President of the Meigas Association, Mª Concepción Astray and her Board of Directors.

After a prayer pronounced by the military Chaplain, Carlos López Jadraque, the Meigas and the guests, they laid a wreath in front of the monument to the dead National Police on the Orzán beach in 2012, representing all deceased people from A Coruña.
