MEIGAS LABELING STANDARDS

The label is nothing other than the set of rules of behavior and customs and customs that have been transmitted from generation to generation and that we observe in public and private acts, Is, therefore, a way of facing daily life in our relationships with others.

These norms of social behavior, in terms of dress and personal appearance, behavior on the table, how to be presented, etc. are aspects that are addressed each year at the Information Meetings for the Meigas in order to observe a correct behavior in Their relations with the others in all those circumstances in which they are representing the HOGUERAS.

As a result of this, each year, there are rules of etiquette to be observed by all the Meigas, setting in them the appropriate clothing for each act within those who are considered officers of the program.

In this way the Meigas understand that it is not the same to go to a reception with Authorities than to a religious act; To a military act than to a youth party; To preside one of the shows of the program or to a gala dinner. Each moment, each activity, requires observing adequate rules for each case.

We live in times when, because of a misunderstood populism, we have the painful and lamentable opportunity to see some of those who represent us as, with an absolute contempt to every rule, come to visit the first Authorities of the Nation with the same Clothing with which they would go to take a cup of wine to the tasca tastier or others who, representing institutions, attend social or institutional events with shoes, shirtless and with a look that makes it clear who is who, although that Yes, that way they call "casual" dress is always with branded and expensive clothes.

However, we are struck by the fact that this attitude of some of these new ones is nothing more than a snobbery pose and so, depending on where they have to go or who they have to interview, they dress in the way described or they are A tuxedo or in an elegant branded outfit.

The rules of etiquette are those who call the event, who invites, and good education requires, in any case, to meet those standards and in case of not wanting to do it simply we should not go and stay at home. It is not tolerable for a representative of an Institution or Entity to attend a call, for which a specific form of dress is required, dressed as he simply wants to demonstrate, it is not well known to whom, his contempt for all kinds of rules. That's just bad education and not knowing how to be.

Fortunately today, perhaps because of the phenomenon of globalization, something that happens in La Coruña is known in New York almost instantly, just like something that happens in China is known in Spain in minutes. Therefore, we can not escape the possibility of behaviors that in some places we do not observe and yet in other places if, they go unnoticed for those who observe us.

Everyone who represents someone or something, the Meigas have very assumed, must behave according to rules of conduct that have nothing to do with personal ideologies or postures, it is simply the principle of respect for who invites us or Towards what it represents the one that we have to visit or complete.

HM the King, the President of the Government, that of any Autonomy or simply a Mayor, deserve the greatest respect on the part of those who come to fill them or participate as guests in an activity called by them. However, that respect must be reciprocal; The fact of holding a representation at any of the levels mentioned does not imply that in concurrence with other people skip these rules and come as if they were to have a cup in a tavern when the other assistants dress according to rules that are very clear In the invitation that they decide to accept.

No one should be above good and evil and those who occupy a position of representation must do so with the dignity that demands what they represent.

The Meigas dress their Official Gala Dresses, the Spanish Mantilla or the Regional Costume of Galicia, not because of an express desire to do it but because when they do they represent something and they come precisely in representation of it. If these young people do so, what should be demanded of those who represent us and charge our taxes?

The clothing, the label, can not and should not be at the service of political postulates, it is simply a rule of conduct and is not closer to the people by dressing ragged and intolerable, especially when in other circumstances That those same people wear a tuxedo, even if they are rented and not even their size, or imitation and elegant suits of jacket probably made to measure.

Representing something or someone requires the highest respect for what is represented and therefore the traditional uses and customs that always observed those who previously had the same representation. An Institution, an Entity, a city, all citizens, deserve all consideration and who represents them, both in internal and external acts, must show this respect and consideration.
