THE OFFERING TO SAN JUAN IS CELEBRATED

In the afternoon of today, in the church of the Venerable Third Order, the Holy Mass was offered to Saint John, who was assisted by the 50 Meiga Mayor, Emma Heads; the XXXVI Meiga Mayor Infantil, Ainhoa ​​Soto; as well as Senior and Honor Meigas from previous editions and the Meigas de Honor and Meigas de Honor Infantiles-2019, together with the Board of Directors of the Meigas Association.

The Office, which was chaired by Isamael Velo, Chaplain of the Meigas Association, was attended by the General Head of the Operational Logistics Force; the General Head of the XV Zone of the Civil Guard; the General Head of the General Staff of the Operative Logistics Force; the Delegate of Defense in Galicia and the Delegate of Tourism of the Xunta, as well as other representations.

In the course of the Solemn Function, which was sung by the C.S. of the Sagrada Familia, made the offering Mª de la Concepción Astary Gómez, President of the Association of Meigas de la Hogueras de San Juan in which he thanked the Saint for the favors received and begged him to maintain his protection over La Coruña and its people .

The 50 Meiga Mayor and the XXXVI Meiga Mayor Infantil, offered individual bouquets of flowers, being seconded by the President of the Meigas Association and by the other assistants that deposited their offering floral at the feet of the Saint.

Previously, in the Grande Canton, the procession of the Meigas was formed and moved to the church of the Third Order through the streets of the center of Coruña.
