THE AFTERNOON OF ALBA

Today, without a doubt, was the great afternoon of Alba Rodríguez Santos, our XXXIII Meiga Mayor Infantil. Alba, nervous and radiant, came to her appointment at the auditorium of the Eusebio da Guarda Institute where she arrived in a showy vehicle of the time where her Children of Honor were waiting for her next to the Meiga Mayor, Meigas de Honor and the President and Board Of the Meigas Association.

It was for her an afternoon full of evocations that she will keep as one of the best memories of her life although some, with much malice, resentment and sectarianism, try to take them away in an arrogant and vengeful way.

Alba and her Meigas de Honor Infantiles will keep alive this memory of the day when they were exalted as Meigas of the CORUñesas HOGUERAS , in their particular dream of the night of San Juan.

Both Alba and all her Children of Honor were bright this afternoon with their own light; The light of elegance, of knowing how to be girls, of knowing how to be, transmitting that magic that, as the pregonera said, Carmen Mª No, only they know how to transmit.

It was an afternoon filled with contained emotions, dreams of girls some truncated by evil and intransigence but, nevertheless, it was her great afternoon, the afternoon of Alba.
