THE PROCLAMATION CEREMONY OF THE MAJOR MEIGA, CHILDREN’S MEIGA MAYOR, HOGUERAS-24 MEIGAS OF HONOR AND CHILDREN’S MEIGAS OF HONOR IS CELEBRATED

Today, Saturday, the 23rd, at 8:00 p.m., in the Culture Room of the Sporting Club Casino (C/ Real, 83), the Proclamation Ceremony and imposition of Bands will take place for the Meiga Mayor, Meiga Mayor Infantil, Honorary Meigas and Children’s Honorary Meigas of the HOGUERAS-24.

Different authorities and representations of the city will impose their accreditation bands on the LIV Meiga Mayor, Valentina Estévez Cuenca; to the XL Meiga Mayor Infantil, Carmen Lorenzo García-Barros, as well as to the Meigas de Honor and Meigas de Honor Infantiles 2024.

Along with the Senior Meiga, Valentina Estévez, the young women from A Coruña, Ariadna Alvarez Ramírez, will be proclaimed Honorary Meigas; Ariadna González García; Manuela Braña Spores; Claudia Franco Cagide; Jeanette Lagares Baladrón; Pardiñas Romero and Alma Mª Ponte Domínguez would go.

For her part, the Children’s Senior Meiga, Carmen Lorenzo, will be accompanied by her Children’s Honorary Meigas, the Coruña girls Andrea Amsoar Estévez; Susana Isabela Besteiro Pestana; Martina Casado Arance; Catalina Guerra López; Rocío Victoria Izzi Azambuyá; Rocío López Castro; Marta Novas Ogén and Valeria del Río Pita.

In the first part of the Ceremony the “FUA” String Group will perform.

With this ceremony the curtain is raised on a new HOGUERAS program that will take place between the months of May and June, including a total of eighty cultural, social, sporting and popular events.

The imposition of the Band at the Meiga Mayor 2024 will take place at 8:45 p.m.
