THE TEACHER CANCIO CERRO, BRILLIANTLY, CORUÑESES PAGINAS

With a bright and pleasant conference offered, this afternoon in the Circle of Craftsmen, by the University Professor Miguel Cancio Alvarez, closed the Cycle "Páginas Coruñesas 2017".

Professor Cancio lectured on the attractive theme "Festivals Meigas, Trobeiranas, Jaruleiras de los Hogueras de San Juan de La Coruña", in which, with a few notes of intelligent good humor, a few brushstrokes on the cultural, social and popular trajectory, Of the Commission Promoting the Bonfires as sole artificer of the resurgence of San Juan Coruña, criticizing the attitude of the Tide Town Hall in relation to the Association of Meigas and all that supposes the celebration of the HOGUERAS in our city.

In his lecture, he explained, in a very well-founded way, the reasons and reasons that impel the city councilmen to adopt this sectarian and discriminatory attitude towards the HOGUERAS.

In the end, the lecturer was very much applauded by the attendees, while the President of the Meigas Association, Mª Concepción Astray, handed him a reminder of his passing through the program "Páginas Coruñesas".
