The Rosalía de Castro Municipal Theater will host the forty-sixth edition of the Festival of the Poetic Aquelarre (FAP), an act of exaltation of Ana Souto Páez as Meiga Mayor of the HOGUERAS-2017 , Declared Fiesta of International Tourist Interest. In this act, the Meiga Mayor, will be accompanied by her Meigas de Honor Alejandra Mosquera Pérez; María Gende Piñuelo; Carmen Fragoso Gundín; Sara Reboredo Fonte; Bárbara Alvarez López; Belén Campos González; Sandra Calvo Filgueira and Valentina Santa Cruz Salazar.

The Festival of the Poetic Aquelarre, presented by Asunción González Campos, Meiga Mayor 2011, and Silvia Lamelas Soto, will begin with the performance of the Music Unit of the Operational Logistic Force Headquarters (FLO), under the direction of Captain Música Ivan Rodríguez Armán, will offer a concert in the course of which will premiere the play 'Invocation to the Meigas de las Hogueras'. This is an original piece of Captain Rodriguez Arman himself that can be heard for the first time in this FAP. Later the Corales Oleiros; Fonte do Souto and A Lembraza de Sada will play the pasodoble 'Meiga Mayor' in conjunction with the Music Unit of the FLO, with arrangements by its director.

Concluded the Meigas parade of honor, the Meiga Mayor, will deliver the 'San Juan-2017' Awards of which in this edition deserved, according to the jury presided by Belén Mª Do Campo Piñeiro: Tourism of Galicia, Diego González Rivas, the Conservatory of Music of La Coruña, the Women's Rugby Team of the School of Technical Architecture (CRAT), the Association of Entrepreneurs of Galicia (ASCEGA) and José Peña Bermúdez.

Next, the Meiga Mayor will impose the "Cardo de Oro", the General Director of Tourism, Nava Mª Castro and those of "Cardos de Plata" Rosa Mª Gallego Neira, Councilor of the PP in the City of Corunna; José Manuel Dapena Varela, Councilor of the PSOE in the City Council; Manuel Ferreiro Regueiro, director of the newspaper El Ideal Gallego, Francisco Gómez Cobas, director of the Military Museum, Iván Rodríguez Armán, director of the FLO Music Unit and Alfonso Mosquera López. It will also be the Meiga Mayor who will deliver the "Silver Thistles" in the modality of collectives to the Artisans RRI and the RSD Horse Riding.

The literary brooch will be put by the General Director of Tourism of the Xunta de Galicia, Mª Nava Castro, who will read the proclamation of the Festival of the Poetic Aquelarre that is also the HOGUERAS-2017.

The Feast of the Poetic Aquelarre will conclude with the traditional tribute to La Coruña, presented by the Meigas de Honor and the Lady of San Juan.

The entrance to this act is by rigorous invitation that can be withdrawn in the lockers of the Theater, before its beginning until the capacity is completed.
