TODAY IS HELD THE TRIBUTE ACT TO THE FLAG THAT CLOSES THE PROGRAM OF THE HOGUERAS-2016

Events for today, June 30. Act of Homage to the National Flag.

On Thursday morning, the 30th, Meigas 2016 and the Meigas Association Board of Directors will go to the Captain's Palace where they will be received by General Sánchez Fernández, Chief of the Operative Logistics Force.

With this visit, which will have its prolegomena with another to be made to the Military Museum, culminate those, during the last days, have made the Meigas 2016 to the different Authorities and Entities of the city.

At 20.00 hours, the Plaza de la Constitución will host the celebration of the traditional tribute to the Flag, promoted by the Association of Meigas de las Hogueras de San Juan and which have been joined by different cultural entities of our city that will participate Contributing their coral masses.

The Meigas 2016 will accede to the Plaza de la Constitución shortly before eight o'clock in the afternoon preceded by the Band Maltese Maltese Gaitas. Once there and after the arrival of the Colonel, Military Commander, the Ballet "Bainga" will perform a muiñeira to which will follow different compositions intoned by the Polyphonic Choir of Oleiros; Coral de Mera; Coral of the Social Center of the Sagrada Familia; Coral of the House of the Sea; Coral Aires New from Pravio; Coral de la Fonte do Souto; Coral Santo Angel of the National Police and Coral To Semba de Sada, participants in this act, as a tribute of affection and respect to the National Flag.

After the floral offering of the Meigas de Honor and Meigas de Honor Infantiles at the foot of the mast, two Meigas Mayores and two Meigas Mayores Infantiles will proceed to fold the national flag that will be lowered while they are given the regulatory honors by a Unit of the Garrison of La Coruña.

The release of a dove, symbolizing the desire for peace for all the Spaniards, and the offering of a laurel wreath, in memory of those who gave their life for Spain, will put the finishing touches to the act.

With this homage of respect and affection to the National Teaching, the HOGUERAS-2016 have been concluded since last May 13.
