TOURISM OF GALICIA, DR. DIEGO GONZALEZ RIVAS, THE SUPERIOR CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC, THE FEMALE TEAM OF RUGBY OF TECHNICAL ARCHITECTURE, ASCEGA AND JOSE PEÑA BERMUDEZ, RECEIVE THE SAN JUAN AWARDS 2017.
The Jury of the San Juan Prizes, presided over by Belén Mª Do Campo Piñeiro, in charge of granting the Prizes awarded annually by the Association of Meigas de las Hogueras de San Juan, on behalf of the San Juan Bonanza Promoting Commission, as recognition To the work done by Institutions, Entities and individuals for the benefit of our city, held its traditional meeting after which it announced the ruling for this edition, granting the following Awards.
Prize "Rey Alfonso IX" to the institutional work to Turismo de Galicia.
Award "María Pita" to the citizen values to Dr. Diego González Rivas ..
Prize "Lieutenant General Fernández Vallespín" to the culture and artistic values to the Superior Conservatory of Music.
Prize "Riazor" to the Sport to the Rugby Team of Technical Architecture.
Prize "Marineda" to Coruñesismo to José Peña Bermúdez
Award "Meiga Mayor" to entrepreneurship and innovative effort to ASCEGA.
All these Awards will be given by the XLVIII Meiga Mayor, Ana Souto Páez, during the XLVII Festival of the Poetic Aquelarre, act of exaltation of the Meiga Mayor and the Meigas de Honor of the HOGUERAS-2017 to be held on the 24th Of the currents, at 20.00 hours, at the Teatro Municipal Rosalía Castro.
Also, in past dates, the Organizing Committee of the HOGUERAS-2017 , awarded the "Gold, Silver and Bronze Thistle ", in its modalities of individual and collective, to recognize the work of individuals and Entities to safeguard, in our city , The traditions of the night of San Juan, granting the following:
"Cardo de Oro" to the General of Division of the Army, Francisco Sánchez Fernández, General Chief of the Operative Logistics Force, and Mª Nava Castro Domínguez, Director General of Tourism of Galicia.
"Cardo de Plata" individual to Rosa Mª Gallego Neira, Councilor of the PP in the City Hall; José Manuel Dapena Varela, Councilor of the PSOE in the City Council; Manuel Ferreiro Regueiro, Director of The Ideal Gallego; Francisco Gómez Cobas, Director of the Military Museum; Iván Rodríguez Armán, Director of the FLO Music Unit; Alfonso Mosquera López, collaborator of the Commission and Sponsorship Paez Alvarez, Director of the Meigas Association of the San Juan Bonfires.
Collective "Cardo de Plata" to the RSD Hippodrome and to the RRI of Artisans and "Bronze Thistle" to the Choir Fonte do Souto; The Danzade Ballet and the Tanxedoira Association.
These awards will be presented at the Exaltation Feasts of the major and children's Meigas, to be held on May 24 and June 3, respectively.
