Two steps

The photograph reflects the moment when the President of the Association of Meigas and Meiga Mayor 1985, Mª Concepción Astray, imposes the well-deserved Silver Thistle to Belén Ferreiro, Meiga Mayor 2016 in the course of the Feast of the Poetic Aquelarre held yesterday.

It is the first time in the history of the HOGUERAS that a Meiga Mayor receives this award in an act like last evening, an honor that has corresponded to our Gentleman Major.

Two Meigas Major who are in an act that both have presided over.

We congratulate the Association of Meigas, its President and its Board of Directors, formed entirely by women, for the elegance, brilliance and know-how with which they have solved this Feast of Aquelarre, the most formal and formal act of the HOGUERAS.
