“1824-2024. TWO HUNDRED YEARS AT THE SERVICE OF SPAIN. THE NATIONAL POLICE IN LA CORUÑA”

This afternoon, the Culture Room of the Sporting Club Casino of La Coruña (C/ Real, 83), hosted, within the winter program of the “Páginas Coruñesas” Cycle of the HOGUERAS-24, organized by the Association of Meigas of the Bonfires of San Juan, a talk under the title “1824-2024. Two hundred years at the service of Spain. The National Police in La Coruña”, offered by Inspector (H) of the National Police José Eugenio Fernández Barallobre.

The event, which was well attended by the public, was attended by Commissioner Pral. Provincial Head of the Police Station of La Coruña, Fernando Martínez Marty, as well as the former Mayor of La Coruña, Francisco Vázquez and the Defense Delegate in Galicia, Colonel Bernal Martín, as well as other representations.

Along with those mentioned, the President of the Meigas Association, Mª Concepción Astray, attended, who was in charge of introducing the speaker, as well as the Meiga Mayor 2023, Samanta Cebral; the Meiga Mayor Infantil 2023, Blanca Alonso and the Board of Directors of the Organizing Commission of the HOGUERAS.

The speaker took a tour through the presence of the National Police, since 1824, in La Coruña, highlighting the most important historical milestones, with emotional memory of the police officers who died in the line of duty over the years.
