During a lunch, served at the El Corte Inglés Restaurant, the Association of Meigas said goodbye, this afternoon, to Pater Castrense Carlos López Jadraque, on the occasion of his new assignment at the Torrejón de Ardoz Air Base (Madrid ).

The event was attended by the HOGUERAS-20 Major Meiga, Candela Mosquera, and the entire Board of Directors of the Meigas Association, organizer of the event.

The lunch was attended by the General of the Marine Infantry, Carlos Pérez-Urruti; the Delegate of Defense in Galicia, Colonel Antonio Bernal; the Captain Fernández Borra and the Director of the Military History Museum, Colonel Gómez Cobas. The Popular Councilor Juan Carlos Varela, as well as different Meigas Mayores and Meigas de Honor Honoríficas and friends of the honoree, also joined the tribute.

For desserts, after reading the concession act by the Secretary General of the Association of Meigas, Sonia Arístegui, the Meiga Mayor, Candela Mosquera, imposed on Pater Carlos López Jadraque the “Silver Thistle” which, in the past, He was awarded by the Promoting Commission of the Bonfires of San Juan.
