HALF TRUTHS

Today we have again a new example of the "Democrats" who are members of the municipal government of Corunna.

In the municipal plenary this afternoon, Belén Ferreiro, our Meiga Mayor, and Lucía Fonte, Vice-president of the Meigas Association, were brilliantly present, two of those whom they contemptuously call "vase women"; And they did so by availing themselves of this alleged right to put a question to the Mayor so that they attended the meeting of the Corporation to formulate theirs, awaiting a response.

The questions formulated in a polite and correct manner to Lucia Fonte did not even answer her, arguing that the answers offered were implicit in those given to the Gentleman, although the questions that were raised were not the same.

But here, the Councilor for Culture, responsible for answering the questions, went out on the hills of Ubeda arguing the high cost that would mean for the City to finance the costs of the program that seeks to carry out the Association of Meigas.

That not Councilman, not. That one can not miss the truth to the most stale Bolivarian style; That no, that he knows, as it is stated in the letter that was sent in his day, that the Association of Meigas has not asked ONE EURO ONLY to the City Council, that everything they have raised and for which they have requested the permits that They have been denied, it would not be an expense for the city. That not, that the same thing does not happen with what they organize for and for those of their rope, that if it costs us money to all the corunian ones like it or not.

No one, of course the Association of Meigas has not done so, has asked the Mayor or the government of the tide to contribute NOT ONE EURO for the organization of the events convened by the Association; Nor have they asked that in the events organized by the City Council the Meigas have any role, have simply requested authorization for its celebration and that, say what the Mayor says or who says, is what they are banning.

It could be understood if, for whatever reason, bonfires on the beaches were to be banned and replaced only by the bonfire mounted by the Town Hall. Then it would be reasonable to think that this ban was extended to everyone, Meigas included. Now, we know that whoever wants to be able to mount his bonfire on the beaches, as always as it can not be otherwise, would be the last straw; Then why Meigas no ?, in which the Meigas Association differs from the rest of the citizens ?, are not they the same rights?

It draws the attention of the Council of Culture, in one of its paragraphs, to be forwarded the specifications and insurances of the floats of the Cabalgata Of San Juan, and in the following do not authorize the celebration of the same. Why do they want the specifications? What is the point of bothering to rent anything if there is not going to be permission to use it? Do they pretend that the Meigas Association organizes the Cavalcade through the streets that the tide want? It would be the high, for that it is celebrated nothing that loses it is La Coruña.

The question remains the same as always and for which they remain unanswered; Today they did not either. What has the Association of Meigas done to deserve this discriminatory and vexatious treatment? Is it worth anything to have been working for this party for almost five decades and to have it recognized internationally?

What can be negative for the night of San Juan and for the city where two allegorical bonfires are burned? In which a cavalcade is organized? In which more than a hundred motorcycles travel the night of San Juan el Paseo Marítimo ?, especially if the city does not cost you ANY ONE EURO.

It is difficult to understand this negative and much more after the municipal plenary majority approve a motion of support to the Meigas Association; What is the use of the majorities? Is it an all-embracing power that has no reserve? Is the vote of others worthless?

As it could not be otherwise, in the plenary today, in another demonstration of democratic sense, neither did the Mayor allowed the representative of the opposition to take the floor to defend the proposal of the Association of Meigas. Here, from what you see, you only have the word one and it is always the same.

We know quite well who they are and above all what they are looking for despite the fact that those who are hidden in the social networks that so well handle, insult, vex and offend gratuitously simply because they do not think like them and do not Serve their dictates.

And those are those who brand others as dictators, to misuse names, etc., etc. Look in the mirror and there, in your reflection, you will see the image of the purest dictatorial style to the most rancid and old style.

It is already well to lie, to say half truths. We repeat, only the permissions have been requested, they have not asked for ONE EURO.

Do not lie to the city or the Coruñeses any longer. Prohibit whatever they want by adjusting to the Law, but do not try to shield their sectarianism after a lie or half truth.
