SO GO TO CITY

We are told someone who lived the first person anecdote that today approached the Municipal Office of Tourism of the square of Maria Pita to request some information about the San Juan Corunna as a brochure or publication. The answer given by the Office employee was: "We do not have them here, but there are them in the Civic Centers, but if you want one of the San Juan, if we give it to you."

Obviously, given the age of the person who lived this fact, it is a little far to be interested in the parties scheduled for the children's flock, so he left the Office without any information.

It is striking, however, that the tourist policy of our city – if there is one – does not prioritize the fact of having information for the tourist on one of the two most important San Juan fiestas in Spain and that can attract The presence of people coming from other provinces, even from other countries. It is surprising that this information, scantily and sparsely, is only available in the Civic Centers, which, by the way, are points of "must" visit for those who come to know the city. What can a tourist do if they do not visit the Civic Centers especially to look for information about the city?

For many years both the HOGUERAS Magazine and the general program of events, both edited by the Bonfire Commission and by the Meigas Association – by the way, the only ones that have published anything serious about the San Juan, were available in these offices. Tourism, something that does not happen this year because the tide has not interested them.

On this subject, it is sufficient to point out that in one of the first meetings held by the Association of Meigas with "responsible" of the municipal government of the tide, commenting that they would receive the publications published by the Association, said that before they should see their content . We return to the times of censorship, stale "democratic" style of these people.

This is how the city goes with these people in front of it. What a pity!
